3003 is the most widely used aluminium alloy. It is basically commercial pure aluminum plus manganese, and its strength is about 20% higher than that of 1100 grade.

So it has all the good features of 1100 and higher strength. It has excellent corrosion resistance. It has excellent machinability and can be deep drawn or spun, welded, or brazed.

Characteristics of 3003 h14 aluminium coil

It is not heat treatable, so it must be strengthened by cold working alone, but it can be forged at high temperatures from 500 to 950 degrees Fahrenheit.

Aluminium is easy to hot work when heat is used in this range. However, cold working is easy and can be done using traditional methods.

When annealing the alloy during or after cold working techniques, it should be done at 775 degrees Fahrenheit. This will give it enough time to heat the air thoroughly before it cools. The only way to harden this alloy is by cold working.
