  • After solution treatment, the plasticity is good, and the strengthening effect of heat treatment is particularly good. It has high strength below 150°C, especially low temperature strength.
  • Poor welding performance, prone to stress corrosion cracking. Two-stage aging can improve the stress corrosion cracking resistance of the alloy.
  • General welding to 7075 aluminum sheet is not recommended. However, good results may be obtained when resistance welding alloys.
  • The application of arc or gas welding may reduce the alloy’s natural corrosion resistance.
  • The plasticity in the annealed and just quenched states is slightly lower than that of 2A12 in the same state, and slightly better than that of 7A04. Its stress corrosion performance is better than 7A04.
