8011 Aluminum Foil Classification

8011 aluminum foil can be divided into thick foil, single zero foil and double zero foil according to thickness.

• (1) Thick foil: Foil with a thickness of 0.1-0.2 mm.
• (2) Single zero foil: Foil with a thickness of 0.01 mm and less than 0.1 mm.
• (3) Double zero foil: The so-called double zero foil is a foil with two zeros after the decimal point when its thickness is measured in mm. It is usually an aluminum foil with a thickness of less than 0.01, that is, 0.005-0.009 mm. In English, thick foil is called “heavy gauge foil”, single zero foil is called “medium gauge foil”, and double zero foil is called “light gauge foil”. In foreign countries, aluminum foil with a thickness of ≤40 ltm is sometimes called light gauge foil, and aluminum foil with a thickness of >40 tm is collectively called heavy gauge foil.

Classification and application of 8011 aluminum foil

8011 aluminum foil can be divided into roll aluminum foil and sheet aluminum foil according to its shape.

Most of the aluminum foil deep processing raw materials are supplied in roll form, and only a few handicraft packaging occasions use sheet aluminum foil.

8011 aluminum foil can be divided into hard foil (H18 state), semi-hard foil (H14/H24 state) and soft foil (O state) according to the state

• (1) Hard foil: Aluminum foil that has not been softened (annealed) after rolling, and has residual oil on the surface without degreasing. Therefore, hard foil must be degreased before printing, laminating, and coating. If it is used for forming, it can be used directly.
• (2) Semi-hard foil: Aluminum foil with hardness (or strength) between hard foil and soft foil, usually used for forming.
• (3) Soft foil: Aluminum foil that has been fully annealed after rolling and becomes soft, with soft material and no residual oil on the surface. Currently, most application fields, such as packaging, composite, electrical materials, etc., use soft foil.

There are also quarter-hard foil and three-quarter-hard foil.

Quarter-hard foil: refers to aluminum foil with a tensile strength between soft foil and semi-hard foil. Application fields include air conditioning foil, etc.

Three-quarter hard foil: refers to the aluminum foil with a tensile strength between full hard foil and semi-hard foil. Application areas include air conditioning foil, aluminum-plastic pipe foil, etc.

Surface: Aluminum foil can be divided into one-sided smooth aluminum foil and two-sided smooth aluminum foil according to its surface.

• (1) Single-sided smooth aluminum foil: Double-rolled aluminum foil, one side is bright and the other side is dark after being rolled. Such aluminum foil is called one-sided smooth aluminum foil. The thickness of one-sided smooth aluminum foil usually does not exceed 0.025mm.
• (2) Double-sided smooth aluminum foil: A single sheet of rolled aluminum foil, both sides of the foil are in contact with the rollers. Due to the different surface roughness of the rollers, the two sides of the aluminum foil are divided into mirror-finished two-sided smooth aluminum foil and ordinary two-sided smooth aluminum foil. The thickness of two-sided smooth aluminum foil is generally not less than 0.01mm.

Typical applications of 8011 aluminum foil

8011 aluminum foil has excellent moisture resistance, light shielding and high barrier capacity.

It is non-toxic and odorless, safe and hygienic. Aluminum foil after lamination, printing and gluing is widely used as packaging material, and is widely used in food packaging, medical packaging, electronic product packaging and other fields.

• 8011 aluminum foil is used for bottle caps: white wine bottle caps, red wine bottle caps, cosmetic bottle caps, milk powder caps, medical caps, beverage caps, yogurt caps, etc. Advantages: food grade, water brushing grade A, low ear rate;
• 8011 aluminum foil is used for pharmaceutical packaging: PTP pharmaceutical aluminum foil, cold stamping pharmaceutical foil, 8011-H18 pharmaceutical packaging aluminum foil, capsule aluminum foil plate, etc. Advantages: high cup convexity, high aluminum foil strength, good sealing;
