Brief introduction of 3003 aluminum plate

3003 aluminum plate is an AL-Mn aluminum alloy, which is the most widely used rust-proof aluminum alloy. The strength of this aluminum alloy is not high (slightly higher than industrial pure aluminum), and it cannot be strengthened by heat treatment, so cold processing methods are used to improve its mechanical properties: it has high plasticity in the annealed state, good plasticity in semi-cold hardening, low plasticity in cold hardening, good corrosion resistance, good weldability, and poor machinability. It is mainly used for low-load parts that require high plasticity and good weldability and work in liquid or gas media, such as mailboxes, gasoline or lubricating oil pipes, various liquid containers and other small-load parts made by deep drawing: wire is used to make rivets, and 3003 aluminum plate has good formability, weldability, and corrosion resistance.

It is used for processing parts that require good formability, high corrosion resistance and good weldability, or work that requires both these properties and higher strength than 1 series aluminum alloys, such as kitchen utensils, food and chemical product processing and storage equipment, tanks and tanks for transporting liquid products, various pressure vessels and pipelines processed from thin plates, general utensils, heat sinks, cosmetic panels, photocopier rollers, and ship materials.

3003 aluminum plate hot processing and heat treatment temperature

Homogenization annealing temperature is 590~620℃, hot rolling temperature is 480~520℃, extrusion temperature is 320~480℃, typical annealing temperature is 413℃, air cooling.

Chemical properties of 3003 aluminum plate

Corrosion resistance: 3003 aluminum alloy has good corrosion resistance, close to the corrosion resistance of industrial pure aluminum. It has good corrosion resistance to the atmosphere, fresh water, sea water, food, organic acid, gasoline, neutral inorganic salt solution, etc., and has good corrosion resistance in dilute acid.

In the cold deformation state, 3003 aluminum alloy has a tendency to peel off and corrode. The greater the deformation, the more serious the peeling. Since the color is uneven after anodizing, anodizing is generally not performed.
