Aluminum 3004 is a medium-strength aluminum alloy with manganese and magnesium as the main alloying elements. Its strength is higher than 3003 Aluminum Sheet, but the ductility is lower.

3004 aluminum/aluminum alloy has high corrosion resistance. When they are exposed to high temperatures, their strength decreases. However, their strength can increase at sub-zero temperatures.

The Features of 3004 Aluminium Sheet

3004 aluminum alloy is an alloy in the aluminum-manganese series (3000 or 3xxx series). It is similar to Alloy 3003 with about 1% magnesium added. It can be cold worked (but heat treated, unlike other types of aluminum alloys) to produce a temper with higher strength but lower ductility. Like most other aluminum-manganese alloys, 3003 is a general-purpose alloy with moderate strength, good machinability, and good corrosion resistance.

• 1. High plasticity. 3004 aluminum plate has high plasticity, good semi-cold work hardening plasticity and low cold work hardening plasticity in the annealed state.
• 2. Well done. It can adapt to the highest speed that most machine tools can reach, and can be used for milling, boring, planing and other mechanical processing. In addition, 3004 aluminum plate has good weldability, but poor machinability.
• 3. The strength is slightly higher. The addition of alloy Mn, while maintaining the excellent processing performance and corrosion resistance of pure aluminum, the strength of 3004 aluminum plate is slightly improved, which is higher than that of 3003 aluminum plate and 10% higher than that of 1100.
• 4. Good anodization. After anodizing, the surface of 3004 aluminum plate has enhanced corrosion resistance and can show colorful colors.

Application of 3004 aluminum plate

3004 aluminum sheet is often used in the manufacture of tanks and lightweight components. It can also be used for TV LCD backplanes, storage tanks, curtain walls, heat sinks, billboards, etc.

The main uses of 3004 aluminum plate: various lighting parts, shutter materials, wide curtain wall panels, color-coated aluminum substrates. It can also be used in processing and storage equipment for chemical products, sheet metal processing, some construction tools, etc.
