6061 aluminum is favored for its high strength and versatility, especially in structural applications, while 6063 aluminum is favored for its excellent surface finish and corrosion resistance, making it ideal for architectural uses.
6061 aluminum has a lower melting temperature, lower thermal conductivity, and lower heat capacity.
